Visual Observations:
Areas where points 1 to 4 are.
1. Multiple tears and creases on top and bottom edges.
2. Surface dirt prevalent.
3. Suspension cord weak and frayed.

Observations under Infra Red Imaging:
4. Line drawings and numbers were written under the painted layer. Numbers could have been colour codes instructions from the artist who drew the images to the person who applied the paint.

Observations under Polarised Light Microscopy:
Bast fibres from inner bark of the Mulberry tree (Broussonetia Papyrifera Vent).
Long (6-20mm) fibres with pointed ends.
Cross striations and nodes at even intervals on fibres.
